The Simon Morrissey memorial cup will take place again this year on Wednesday 27th of May at 7:30 pm in Churchtown. The cup will coincide with the Junior A Division One league fixture of Dromina vs Liscarroll Churchtown Gales. Last year saw the first meeting of this very special cup and it was a fantastic evening in Dromina. Simon was a very important member of both Dromina and Churchtown communities and a great supporter of Dromina GAA, it is only fitting that these two clubs come together for his memorial cup each year. This year again the Morrissey family will be having a collection with all funds collected donated to the local national schools of Liscarroll, Churchtown and Dromina. Well done to the Morrissey family. We ask all members to come together next Wednesday as we fondly remember our dear Friend Simon.
