History in the making for Bobby Caroll

There’s a huge sense of pride around Dromina this week as we celebrate a remarkable achievement by one of our own. Bobby Carroll will lead Cork into battle this Friday night at 7.30pm in Semple Stadium, as captain of the Cork Minor Hurling Team in the Munster Final.

Massive Honour for Bobby Carroll, Dromina Gaa and Shandrum Juvenile Club.

To have a player representing the club at inter-county minor level is a huge honour in itself — but to have him named captain of the Cork team is something truly special. Bobby’s achievement is a testament to his dedication, talent, and love of the game, and it reflects incredibly well on his family, his coaches, and everyone involved in his journey from Shandrum juvenile hurling club to the big stage in Thurles.

This is a proud moment not just for Bobby and his family, but for our entire club and community. Bobby’s leadership and talent on the field have made him stand out at every level — and now he wears the red jersey with pride, not only representing Cork, but flying the flag for his family, his parish, and all of us here in Dromina.

As the Cork minors aim for Munster glory, all eyes in Dromina, and indeed across the wider North Cork region, will be firmly fixed on Semple Stadium this Friday night. Regardless of the result, Bobby’s achievement will long be remembered as a proud chapter in the sporting history of the parish.Best of luck to Bobby and the Cork team in the final
